Carlos Alcaraz won over Wimbledon fans after they booed the mention of tonight’s European Championship.
Spaniard Alcaraz will hope for a double triumph from his country with them set to face England in this evening’s showdown in Berlin.
BBC interviewer Annabel Croft asked Alcaraz about the football, prompting boos from the Centre Court crowd. The 58-year-old asked Alcaraz where he would be watching the match.
He responded: “Well, with the team for sure.
“I don’t know where it’s going to be but I’ll watch it for sure. I’ve already done my job so let’s see the football.”
The crowd laughed, before he diplomatically concluded: “It’s going to be a really difficult match, I guess. I’ll watch it, let’s see who’s going to win the Euros cup.”
